“Caslenoveng” it is a name originated from the company’s founder f irst name, Caslet, Casle from -Caslet, Nov – from Innovation and Eng – Engineering. The thinking around the name is to instigate innovative thinking in engineering processes and product development. The idea around Caslenoveng as an organisation, is about bringing new engineering and scientific solutions into problems encountered by industries in the country and the world. The purpose of this organisation is to solve problems that are faced now and in the future, the idea is to think 200 years to come, in which the target is year 2221.
Engineering today is about tenders, maintenance and operations. Caslenoveng intents to close the short comings of the traditional engineering practice of maintenance and operation focus by the public or private companies. Companies encounter complex engineering problems, which they have ideas and brilliant concepts that they want to develop, test and implement in their plants or processes in order to improve and optimise their performance, quality of production, efficiency, costs, time and user friendly solutions, however due to tight constraint of their daily routines of operation and maintenance, they are unable to execute these ideas and brilliant concepts. However, Companies do not afford to employ Engineers or technical people just to be responsible for research & development, expeditions of solutions or rather specialists on their existing or new products, services or processes. This is due to the fact that, the number one priority and focus of companies is to make profit and maintain a positive cashflow and , hence it is too expensive to employ full time engineers that will only focus on Research, Development and process and product optimisation.
The impacts of not undertaking continuous research, development and optimisation of engineering systems has far reaching consequences which can only be realised when critical plant equipment fails. With R&D actively in place, these challenges could have been anticipated and timeously acted upon to ensure optimum plant availability and relevancy.
